Back to Home1. About these Terms
These Terms apply to Healthy Heart Choices at HealthyHeartChoices.com and its related features, referred to as the “Service.” In these Terms, “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the provider of Healthy Heart Choices.
The Service provides recipes, food information, meal-planning tools, shopping lists, kitchen organization, cooking lessons, weight-recording and nutrition-estimate tools, and related resources. Please read these Terms before accepting them. When an account or feature requires acceptance, you must agree before using that account or feature. These Terms do not authorize any purchase or charge.
2. Accounts and eligibility
Create an account only if you can legally enter this agreement where you live. If you cannot, do not create an account unless the Service provides an appropriate guardian-authorization process.
Provide accurate account information, protect your sign-in credentials, and use only accounts you are authorized to access. Notify us through the contact method provided on this website if you suspect unauthorized access. You are responsible for your own activity, but not automatically for activity caused by failures outside your reasonable control.
3. Educational information, not medical care
The Service provides general educational information. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent a medical condition, prescribe a medical diet, or replace advice from a qualified healthcare professional. Using it does not establish a clinician–patient relationship.
Discuss dietary changes with your clinician or registered dietitian, particularly if you have heart disease, diabetes, kidney disease, a recent stent or other procedure, take medication, are pregnant, or have special nutritional needs. Do not change medication, calculate insulin doses, or delay medical care because of information on the Service. The Service does not monitor emergencies.
4. Nutrition values, weight records, and daily estimates
Calories, nutrients, portions, daily targets, and dietary calculations are estimates. Results depend on your inputs, ingredient brands, preparation, serving sizes, and calculation methods. Actual amounts may differ.
Weight records show information entered into the Service; they do not diagnose a condition. Targets based on measurements, activity, or goals are planning aids, not a clinical assessment or a determination of your exact requirements.
Recipe labels and filters do not establish suitability for every individual. Review important dietary targets with a qualified professional. The Service does not guarantee weight loss, cholesterol reduction, blood-glucose control, prevention or reversal of arterial plaque, or any other health outcome.
5. Ingredients, allergies, and substitutions
Check current ingredient and allergen information whenever you buy, prepare, or order food. Manufacturers and restaurants may change ingredients and preparation practices.
A recipe title, filter, photograph, or ingredient list is not an assurance that food is free of allergens or cross-contact. Obtain information directly from manufacturers or restaurants where needed. Substitutions can change nutrition, allergens, cooking performance, and safety.
6. Cooking and equipment safety
Cooking lessons describe general techniques. Follow appliance manufacturers' instructions and recognized guidance for food handling, storage, safe internal temperatures, and reheating.
Use suitable precautions around heat, sharp tools, electricity, and gas. Cooking times and photographs do not prove safe doneness; use an appropriate food thermometer where needed. Adapt instructions to your equipment and ingredients, and stop using damaged or unsafe equipment.
7. Meal plans, pantry records, and shopping lists
These tools help organize your choices and may be incomplete, outdated, or affected by information you enter. Review quantities, serving changes, duplicated ingredients, storage conditions, and items already on hand before shopping or cooking.
A sample menu is an illustration, not a recommended daily calorie intake for everyone. Shopping lists do not place orders, reserve products, confirm store inventory, or guarantee prices. Keep a separate copy of information important to you.
8. Restaurants, products, and external websites
Restaurant guides and equipment recommendations provide general information. Menus, ingredients, nutrition figures, specifications, prices, and availability can change. Verify important details with the restaurant, manufacturer, or seller.
Third-party websites have their own terms and privacy practices. Unless expressly stated, we are not the restaurant, manufacturer, or seller and do not manage their transactions, warranties, returns, or customer service. Mentioning a brand does not establish a partnership or that brand's endorsement of the Service.
9. Affiliate links and commercial relationships
Some recommendations may involve an affiliate commission, sponsorship, complimentary product, or another material relationship. Applicable relationships will be identified near the relevant recommendation or link.
Review those disclosures before purchasing. Transactions with outside sellers are between you and the seller. This section supplements, rather than replaces, the disclosures accompanying individual recommendations.
10. Appropriate use
Use the Service lawfully and without interfering with others. Do not attempt unauthorized access, bypass access controls, introduce malicious software, impersonate another person, commit fraud, or collect other users' private information.
Submit only material you are entitled to provide. Automated access that disrupts the Service or circumvents restrictions is prohibited. These restrictions do not prohibit activity expressly protected by applicable law.
11. Website content and permitted use
Original text, photographs, branding, design, and software are protected where applicable and belong to their respective owners. Third-party names and trademarks remain the property of their owners.
You may use the Service personally, save or print materials through available features, and share links. Unless permission or applicable law allows it, do not commercially redistribute protected material, copy substantial portions, or remove ownership notices.
12. Your information and privacy
You retain any rights you have in original material you submit. You permit its processing as reasonably necessary to provide the features you request, subject to applicable law and the Service's separate Privacy Policy.
These Terms do not themselves authorize publication of private account or dietary information, unrelated advertising uses, or sale of personal information. Data practices, choices, retention, and applicable rights must be explained in the Privacy Policy. Do not submit another person's private information without appropriate authority.
13. Availability and account restrictions
We may correct information, change features, perform maintenance, or discontinue parts of the Service. Availability and uninterrupted access are not guaranteed.
We may restrict an account when reasonably necessary to address misuse, a security concern, or a legal obligation. Where reasonably practicable and legally permitted, we will provide notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue. You may stop using the Service at any time. Account closure and information retention remain subject to the Privacy Policy and applicable law.
14. Warranties and responsibility
We aim to provide useful information but cannot promise every item is complete, current, or error-free. To the extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as available,” without additional implied warranties.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the Service. Nothing here excludes liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, gross negligence, or liability the law does not allow us to exclude or limit. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
15. Updates, legal rights, and contact
We may update these Terms and will show the revised version and effective date. Material changes will receive appropriate notice, with renewed acceptance where required. Changes will not apply retroactively to remove rights that have already arisen.
If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to the extent permitted by law. These Terms do not require arbitration or waive access to courts, regulators, or mandatory legal protections.
